October Wish List

Jeeeesss October has come around so fast. Having started university this year I'm pretty poor right now as I'm still currently waiting on my student loan to come in, so until then I thought I'd just share the things that I have fallen in love with!

Olympus Pen E-PL7 Double Zoom Kit - LINK
I didn't know it was possible to fall in love with a camera until now. I've seen this quite a few times and the quality of the pictures it can take are amazing. 100% need an upgrade!

Zara Sheepskin Jacket - LINK
As winter is approaching I love buying a new coat/jacket every year. My friend from work had this on and oh my, it is the softest cosiest thing I have ever felt, this is a necessity.

Public Desire Black Over the Knee Boots LINK
Having never owned a pair like this I decided it was time to venture outside of my comfort zone and get a pair - will keep you posted!

Charlotte Tilbury 3rd Edition Makeup Bag - LINK
First off, I am ridiculously excited for Christmas, and seeing as this is limited edition for the holiday season it makes me want it even more. Although I don't know if I can justify spending £32 on a makeup bag so I guess we'll see how generous I'm feeling.

Charlotte Tilbury Amazing Grace and Love Liberty - LINK
Having recently bought another duo from Charlotte Tilbury - Sexy Sienna and Lost Cherry (review to come soon) - I have fallen in love with the matte consistency as it's creamy and doesn't dry your lips. I'm now lusting after this duo!

Kiko Perfecting Bronzer - LINK
Kiko Contouring Pencil Set - LINK
Yet more makeup to add to the collection! I went into store and swatched these and they're incredible! They're part of a limited edition collection so I better get on these quick, where are you student loan?!

Sigma Beauty 3DHD Kabuki Brush White - LINK
Sigma Beauty 3DHD Precision Brush White - LINK
My friend recently bought these and raved about how amazing they are, so now they're part of my wish list. I've been on the hunt for some new makeup brushes anyway and these look very funky fresh!

Reiss Laguna Bag in Apricot - Ebay
This bag unfortunately isn't available online anymore but I have seen a couple of these on Ebay so let the hunt begin. I'm not usually one for small bags as I'm one of those people who like to take everything they own with them when they go out, but this was love at first site.

Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette | Review

Ever since buying the original Chocolate Bar palette from Too Faced, I knew I needed to buy this one. Luckily for me it had just come into Sephora stores in France a couple of days before I visited. Obviously I snapped this up!

As you can see the colours are absolutely beautiful and very chocolately in colour chart and smell *drools*. I really like how there are many matte shades and some beautiful shimmery ones too! I was also really excited about the blue shade - Blueberry Swirl - they've put in. I'm not going to go into much detail about the packaging as Too Faced have the cutest packaging which are always faultless and adorable.

Unlike the original Chocolate Bar Palette, the names of the shades are in the palette this time which is super helpful.  They've kept the same layout with the two bigger neutral shades - One matte and one shimmery. I like to use Coconut Creme as an eye shadow base and I love using Butter Pecan as a highlighter.

My favourite shade in this palette is Pink Sugar. It appears pink in the pan but when applied it's more like a glitter on the eye without being too pinky - love! I also love using Nougat as a pinky transition shade.

As you can see from the swatches this palette is extra gorj and I would 100% recommend to anyone! As per usual the shades are pigmented and blend like a dream. The only shade that I've found isn't as pigmented is Blueberry Swirl. It's very sheer and not as blue as it looks in the pan.
I've see a couple of people say they prefer the original but I have to admit, Too Faced have risen to the occasion and I love them both equally. I think it depends on what the weather is like or what kinda mood I'm in for me to choose between the two. On the whole I'd say that this palette has a lovely choice of cool and warm shades which is perfect for people who want a bit of variety.

This palette retails at £45 but it's £39 when you buy it from Debenhams! Plus you can receive points!

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick - No 10 Beige Tribute | Review

For starters this is in my opinion the best nude lipstick possibly ever. I've been on the hunt for an amazing nude lipstick for years. I always found that they were quite light and the colour would just completely wash me out or I looked like I had foundation lips (I mean, foundation lips are a traditional phase right?). Anyway, I found Samantha Ravndahl's Instagram page (all around goals guys) and she had a tonne of pictures using this lipstick and it looked beautiful, so I just went ahead and ordered it on a whim. (Well maybe as I spent ages looking up reviews and swatches - ha!).

This lipstick shade is THE perfect nude. Very creamy but doesn't look really glossy and almost goes matte after a period of time wearing it. The colour is a light pink, with a cooler undertone. I like to apply this with the Essence Satin Mauve Lip Liner (£1) all over the lips, then outline them with Mac's Stone Lip Liner. Usually if I want to go for a really nude nude, I'll just line my lips with Stone and apply some concealer or foundation on before and pop the lippy on over the top, voila!

Besides from the formula/actual lipstick, the gold packing is the bomb. I feel like a princess whenever I reach for this!

These retail for £26 but if you order through Feel Unique they always have some kind of promotional code so I manged to get some bucks off!

Very pricey for a lipstick but in my opinion worth every penny!

Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Brush Set Vol. 2 | Review

As I'm sure many of you know, these brushes came out a while ago. I was actually one of the first people on the boat - as soon as they were listed online I ordered them like a excited child on Christmas day. Anyway, I've had them long enough to tell you my honest opinion and what I use each brush for.

Face/Base Brushes:

104 Buffer | This is the biggest brush in the collection and it's completely flat and very dense. I use this to buff my foundation into my skin after I've dotted it on my face. It provides me with an even coverage and because the foundation is pressed into the skin (more than it would be if i was using my fingers or a flat foundation brush) it has more staying power!

109 Luxe Face Paint | I use this brush for my bronzer/contour (mainly contour) as the shape is perfectly designed for carving out dem cheek bones. It's similar to the ever so famous Nars Ilta kabuki brush (which is £43 so guys, just go for one of these, they're basically the same).

126 Luxe Cheek Finish | They named this brush incredibly well as this is the only brush I now use for my blusher! When there's no other product on the brush I sometimes use this with a powder highlighter. I actually also use this for bronzer and less accurate contouring if I'm feeling a bit lazy.

Eye Brushes:

228 Luxe Crease | Love love LOVE this brush. It's a very lovely soft fluffy blending brush, which in my opinion is something every girl who uses eyeshadow should own. You can use this for you base shadow, blending shades into the crease (obviously) and just blending anything in general.

234 Luxe Smoky Shader | This brush is really compact and thin, so it holds product really well. I'll sometimes use this for patting shimmery shades onto the lid because it keeps the colour on there. However I mainly use this for applying Mac's Paint Pot in Painterly all over the lid as my eye primer and base shadow. I'll also use it with concealer or that same Paint Pot and use it to clean up my brows.

226 Smudger | This is perfect for eyeshadow application under the eye as the brush is so dense and compact. I'll then go in with the Luxe Crease to smudge anything out and make it all smoky.

322 Brow Line | This brush can be used with cream or powder brow products. I prefer to use cream (specifically the ABH Dip Brow) as it just works really well together - for me anyway!

317 Wing Liner | I'm going to be honest with you, I've had a little bit of a love hate relationship with this brush. I've found that it's really good for the the actual wing, but when you get to extending it onto your lid the brush kinda makes the liner go a bit crazy and bumpy.

I really love this brush set and without fault use them every single day (as long as I'm actually wearing makeup and not just watching Netflix). You can't fault the quality or design, especially for the price. It essentially means you're paying like £7 per brush. Each brush has the same logo/pattern which is on the pot. How cute is the damn pot as well?! And don't get me started on the bag too, I literally feel like a princess when I use these, and my makeup looks so much better when I apply it with these brushes!

The only thing I have noticed is that where i've been putting the brushes in the pot, the paint work is wearing a little and I think this might be because the handles are light pink which makes them more prone to getting dirty. I would have to say that if you're after a brush set with more face brushes I would go for the normal Rose Gold set, but if you want something that has a variation of the two I'd go for this one!

I also put up my first ever Youtube video using only these brushes, just to show you that you only need this one set to do your makeup, it's everything you want in a brush set and more!
